Privacy Policy

How MSCNow handles your data

Overview

MSCNow is designed with privacy in mind. The app operates entirely on your local device and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

Data Collection

MSCNow does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

  • No analytics or tracking
  • No user accounts or registration
  • No data transmitted to external servers
  • No advertising or third-party services

Local Data Storage

MSCNow stores the following data locally on your device:

  • User Preferences: Settings such as your selected MIDI output device, device ID, command format, and delay preferences are stored locally using macOS UserDefaults.
  • Temporary Files: When using the "Quick Open" feature, temporary MIDI files are created in your system's temporary directory and are automatically cleaned up when the app closes.

MIDI Data

MSCNow processes MIDI Show Control (MSC) data locally on your device. This data is:

  • Generated based on your input (cuelist and cue numbers)
  • Sent directly to your selected MIDI output device
  • Optionally exported to local MIDI files that you control

No MIDI data is transmitted over the internet or to any external service.
